University Oval

Logan Park Drive,
Dunedin City Centre
Dunedin,

Capacity: 3500 (Expandable to 6000 with temporary seating) Ends: Media box End, Grandstand end Domestic Team: Otago The University Oval is located in one of New Zealand's southern most cities of Dunedin and is a small boutique venue with an embankment that is ideal for a day at the cricket. The world's newest Test ground became New Zealand's seventh in January 2008 when New Zealand played Bangladesh. In its infancy, the ground has had its share of controversy, notably Auckland coach Mark O'Donnell questioned the suitability of the pitch after a State Championship match between his side and Otago in 2007 and New Zealand captain, Daniel Vettori, criticised the length of the boundaries after the Banagladesh Test.
