Piranha is what it is and it doesn't try to be anything else. It's a B-grade blood fest and it's a lot of fun to watch. There is extreme violence and some excessive nudity but it all comes together quite nicely in a massacre-style teen slasher horror-comedy. I really enjoyed it.

We were lucky enough to get tickets to the premiere of Piranha 3D.

I did really enjoy Piranha 3D. I found it bloody (literally) funny and gory. At one point the girls sitting next to us were laughing uncontrollably.

I found that the 3D effects were fantastic and there were parts in the movie where I flinched thinking that things were coming at me.

The casting was fabulous. I loved the use of Richard Dreyfuss at the start and I was reminded after the movie that he was actually singing the same song as the one from Jaws. Ving Rhames also made me want to shout “Enough is enough! I have had it with these motherf**king Piranha’s in this motherf**king water”!

The scenes with Jerry O’Connell’s character were just priceless, and he came across perfectly as a sleazy porn director.

I did not have a great deal of sympathy for the partying teens when they refused to listen and get out of the water. Seriously, you deserved everything you got.

On the whole I found it funny, bloody and entertaining.
