Good movie, had a mix of alot of 'recent' movies that have come out - Avatar, Braveheart, Star Wars but still have a good enough story that differentiates itself from the rest. Great effects, great effects, great movie. Highly recommended.

So nice to see a new sci fi film set in a universe we haven't seen before so richly detailed and filled with wonderful creatures. Despite it's problems, John Carter is an exciting escape from the "franchise" movies we have so much of today.

John Carter - visually stunning yes, well acted with an impressive script NO! Seriously this is one of the worst acted movies i have seen since Armageddon! Kitsch is hollow, Collins one dimensional and West was simply unbelievable.

It does look amazing though - but not worth seeing in 3D as there aren't any extra 3D bits.

But overall definitely NOT recommended!!!

Seems like a weird movie for disney, I hope they don't make it too much like a kids movie. Trailer looks alright.
