Hubby thought he had drawn the short straw when I dragged him along to see the latest Drew Barrymore movie “Going the Distance.” I am pleased to say he thoroughly enjoyed what he thought was going to be a “chick flick” especially the camaraderie between the males which even stretched to ‘toilet’ humor.
The movie defiantly has lots of good belly laughs, though even though I knew the story line would Mills & Boonsie it did not hold many surprises unlike other Drew Barrymore films that I have enjoyed, its worth a look though and if you have your man in toe even better.

Funniest movie I've seen in awhile, movie goes at a nice pace as well. As previous reviews have said, not for the prudish. Good cast, good acting, good time :)

A solid three and half stars...one of the better romantic comedies I have seen in a while...(not that I will admit to watching that many) ;)

Chemistry between the leads is make or break in this genre of film...and I have to say this was one of the best pairings I have seen for a while. Drew Barrymore has grown on me over the years, and Justin Long was a bit of a revelation. It is a truly believable romance.

Christina Applegate was good for a laugh, playing a character a little more complex than Kelly Bundy, but nevertheless still a caricature...this time as the archetypal neurotic housewife.

If you like romantic comedies, this is one to see. Even if you're not a big fan of the genre you won't be bored...it has enough good humour to get you through.

At the very least, as a big Top Gun fan myself, I could relate to the male lead after his affection for Top Gun was displayed, and he had my backing from there on in...;)

My initial thoughts is Going the Distance could be chick flicky, but was still keen to see it as the preview looked hilarious.
Drew Barrymore and Justin Long were great and very natural as the leads. Christina Applegate stole the show for me thou as the slightly neurotic OCD sister to Drew's character.
A lot of funny moments and not just the ones in the trailer.
Definitely check it out if you can, great for a laugh and especially if you've been through a long distance relationship!

Haven't laughed so much in a long time!!!
Fantastic cast, Drew Barrymore is amazing as always, Christina Applegate was outstanding and Justin long was very well cast. His "mates" were beyond funny.
Not for the more prudish viewers, but if you have a good sense of humour, it is a must see.
We were still laughing long after we left the picture theatre

Well Worth It!! I laughed so hard, I almost fell off my very comfy chair. As usual Drew Barrymore produces a stella performance in her favourite genre role, and she isn't let down by her leading man either. Well thought out, fantastic jokes and the story line doesn't suck either. One of the funnier Rom/Coms to have been released in the last 6 months.
